The ORTHOPHOS XG product family is designed to encourage additional procedural capabilities as a practice or technology advances making it a sound long-term investment
With this announcement Sirona builds on its award-winning ORTHOPHOS technology to offer practitioners even greater functionality and efficiency in the areas of patient positioning and stabilization diagnostics radiation management and workflow.
Specific software enhancements to the ORTHOPHOS XG Plus system include additional transversal slice acquisition (TSA) exposures for implant site assessment; an extension to the thick layer of anterior tooth region program P12; and two new sinus programs. The new TSA orientations now include three parallel longitudinal slices that follow the curved contour of the mandibular arch and cross sectional (transaxial) slices similar to the classic TSA but featuring a slice rotation of ten degrees for the front and back slice. The third TSA addition combines the classic TSA slices with a longitudinal 5mm thick slice.
