Fiber-Splint

Advantages

  • Clinically proven since 1989

  • Extremely thin and resistant

  • Versatile

Description

Extremely thin fiber-glass band (0.05 mm/.0019”), 4 mm wide which gives 30% more adhesion power to the interdental area.

The application is very easy: the first Fiber-Splint strip is saturated with bonding agent, positioned on the etched and bonded palatal/lingual surfaces, then fixed in the interdental area with application clips and light-cured. The entire procedure has to be repeated with the next five strips, six layers are recommended in all. The result is highly aesthetic and comfortable for the patient.

Description

Ready to use solutions for fast, strong and highly aesthetic splints.

F-Splint-Aid is a fibreglass ribbon pre-impregnated with bonding agent, ideal for all situations where you need to make an unexpected emergency splinting. Thanks to the ease of use, it is particularly suitable for the stabilization of teeth which are mobile or loose due to trauma or periodontal disease, and for temporary repositioning of front teeth extracted or reconstructed in composite.
F-Splint-Aid is now also available in a Slim version, which is narrower (2 mm) but grants the same strength; it is conceived for the treatment of surfaces with reduced dimensions as well as post-orthodontic retainers.
The practical F-Splint-Aid and F-Splint-Aid Slim bottles allow for dispensing the multi-layer fibreglass ribbon pre-impregnated with the Fiber-Bond bonding agent. The bottle contains 12 cm of fibreglass ribbon, useful for 3-5 applications depending on
the treatment to be performed.

Application of F-Splint-Aid  takes just a few simple steps:

  • Extract the fibreglass ribbon pre-impregnated with bonding agent from the bottle and cut it to the desired length

  • Position it on the previously etched palatal/lingual surfaces

  • Immobilize it with Clip&Splint, the special fixation clips by Polydentia

  • Finally light-cure.

The fibreglass is very easy to handle, will not fray and does not require the use of any special scissors.
The handy resealable bottle serves to avoid wasting of fibreglass and bonding agent, also making the application rapid and comfortable for both the dentist and patient.
The results are aesthetically excellent and non-invasive, and they provide optimal durability and reliability.
